Overview
This grant provides funding for immediate workplace accessibility updates to help hire, retain, or support the continued employment of persons with disabilities. Eligible projects include construction, renovation, retrofit, or purchase of accessible equipment and information technologies. The program operates on continuous intake with funding up to $50,000 per project lasting up to 12 months.
Eligibility
Not-for-profit organizationsFor-profit organizations with up to 99 full-time equivalent employeesIndigenous organizations (including band councils, tribal councils and self-government entities)Municipal and territorial governmentsProjects must address urgent workplace accessibility needs for persons with disabilitiesEligible projects
Construction, renovation, or retrofit of workplace facilitiesPurchase of accessible equipmentPurchase or implementation of accessible information technologiesProjects that remove accessibility barriers to support hiring, retention, or continued employmentFinancing terms
